Close To Urban Comforts

Spending quiet time at the cottage can be a magical thing. It’s a great retreat from the hectic pace of city life. However, being close to certain creature comforts like shopping, restaurants and medical care is an important consideration. You need to be sure that you can obtain groceries, supplies and essential services when needed.

 

Invest With Friends Or Family

If you’re planning to be at the cottage every other weekend, or even once a month, consider asking a friend or family member that you trust to buy the cottage in partnership with you. Consider Renting for a Month (or longer)

Maybe you’re buying a cottage for seasonal or even future use. When you’re not using the cottage yourself consider renting your cottage out to vacationers for a month or longer. It can be financially rewarding for your cottage to be in constant use rather than sitting empty. This will help with mortgage payments and keep your cottage in good working order.
